Description
One of only 101 factory A-990 Super Stock 426 HEMI Dodge Coronets built in 1965, this genuine race car carries documented history spanning legendary Super Stock competitors. Finished in factory Ruby Red with original VIN tag and matching fender tag, the car retains most original body panels plus rare A-990-specific modifications including Corning Glass and lightweight steel components. The original lightweight radiator support bears its factory body number stamp.
Two Super Stock fold-forward seats with aluminum brackets, original door panels, and special factory construction distinguish this from restored examples. The car ran and drove until early 2024, then was repainted. Currently offered as a roller without engine or transmission.
Interior requires completion; new carpet and a trunk of parts including radiator and driveshaft are included. This W051 VIN example was campaigned by Terry Earwood and previously owned by notable Super Stock racers Johnny Perkins, Bobby Crouse, and Bill Weekley. A authentic piece of American drag racing heritage ready for completion.

Dodge Coronet Buyer's Guide (1965–1976)
People focus on the Charger and overlook the Coronet, which has kept prices more reasonable for longer than they should have stayed. The platform is identical — same frame, same suspension geometry, same engine bay that accepts everything from a 318 two-barrel to a 426 Hemi. The Super Bee was literally a Coronet with a performance package, and it was built that way because Dodge needed a budget muscle car to compete with the Plymouth Road Runner. That packaging decision created one of the best values in Mopar collecting. I've seen well-documented Super Bee Coronets sell for half what a comparable Charger would bring. That gap has been closing, but it's still real.
