Description
1950 Two-door, Ford Custom Deluxe. Mileage: 84900\r\nIt's time to sale my beautiful "Shoebox" Ford. It has its original motor (Flathead V-8; 239.0 cu in.; 100 HP), and standard "three-on-the-tree" transmission.
It starts and runs perfectly, and can cruise easily at 70 mph on I-15. \r\nI have not tried to get it to "pristine condition", so I could enjoy taking family and friends out on rides without worries. Plus, I did not want to do away with the blue pinstriping on the exterior. \r\nI bought it in Indiana two years ago, and had it shipped to Utah. To my knowledge it has been kept it in a garage, safe from the elements, for at least the last fifteen years.
The only addition cost I have made to the car was the outside sun visor, plus routine maintenance such as oil changes, lubed, and tires rotated.\r\nAbout 90% of the car is original. In 2021 it was converted to a 12-volt system for easier starting in cold weather. The battery, bulbs, circuit breakers and switches were updated for the change.
It has a new radio, but I have the original 6-volt radio. It also has an electric fuel pump. It has been undercoated, including the interior floorboards and side frame. It has a clean title. \r\n\r\nIf interested, please email me at [email protected]

Ford Custom / Custom Deluxe Buyer's Guide (1949–1956)
The 1949 Ford was a genuine revolution. After years of wartime design freezes and prewar styling, Ford unveiled a completely new low, wide, integrated body that made every competitor look old overnight. The Custom Deluxe was the top trim of that generation — the car that most buyers stretched to afford. What I appreciate about these cars is that they're still findable at prices that make sense. You can buy a good driver-quality 1950 or 1951 Ford for what you'd spend on a mediocre late-model used car, and it'll be worth every bit of that and more in ten years.
