Description
1983 Chevrolet K5 Blazer 4WD. Clean diesel title, originally 6.2L Detroit. Is now a 496 cu. in. Vortec 8100, 8.1L (big block version of an LS swap). Transmission and transfer case combo both all new, rebuilt 4L80e with NP208C combo.
Top is painted a matte black, body is painted GM summit white single stage. Fresh paint last week! Dana 44 front axle, Warn manual locking front hubs. 14 bolt full floater rear axle, metric AAM from the same donor 3/4 ton suburban the engine and transmission were from. New drive shafts, all new disk brakes, pads rotors calipers and rubber hoses front and rear, hummer H2 wheels painted gloss black with new metric 35' Milestar Patagonia M/T tires.
Has updated 1989-1991 front clip with all new headlamps, tail lamps, turn signals and park lamps. Both front and rear dome lights are wired and work. Added 4 speaker stereo, adding a 10 inch subwoofer in the rear side panels I'm having upholstered to match the new seat covers once they arrive.
All of the glass is original GM except the windshield, that was replaced last year with a high quality Pilkington that has integrated antenna. I saved every single receipt and have purchase date, location and fixed amount for warranties for all parts. All rubber seals have been replaced, no leaks through the car wash even.
Billstein 5125 monotube shocks and steering stabilizer all around. Offroad design brand engine crossmember and competition mounts. Also their front extended shock mounts to allow 12' the bilstein shocks instead of 7' factory replacements, which greatly improves the ride quality.
Nolathane body bushings. All new HVAC heat blows hot, A/C blows cold with new dash vents. Has 1990s retrofit high speed blower motor and fan. Has all new interior, fresh seat covers on back order but will be upholstered when they arrive and included in asking price.
I have the original rear seat (not pictured) and was waiting for the seat covers before I reinstall it. Everything works, cruises 75mph

Classic Chevrolet Blazer Buyer's Guide
The full-size Chevrolet Blazer β the K5 β is the SUV that defined American open-air four-wheeling for two decades. From its 1969 launch through to the final 1994 model year, the K5 offered truck-based capability with a removable top, a big-block option, and enough room to actually work. Today it's one of the most collectible American SUVs on the market, and prices are moving accordingly.
