Listing Description

1968 Chevrolet Corvette Convertible- L36 427 engine with M21 4-speed - Red / Red - Two tops -- hardtop needs paint, white soft top is good. - No power steering, no power brakes, no A/C, only big block power! - I've owned since 2003 - Allen's manifold back OEM style exhaust - Original 15x7 1968 only ralley wheels, original Firestone Wide Oval redline tires - Completely rebuilt front suspension and steering (new bushings, ball joints, all steering components including steering box) - Original documentation including very legible tank sticker indicating all options are as it left the factory, the original owner's manual and protecto-plate in the original sleeve. - 77,000 miles Great condition for a 47 year old car. Everything works except the clock is slow / intermittent. All other gauges work, even the seat belt reminder light and key in/door open buzzer. Original AM/FM stereo works. All vacuum accessories work. All fiber optics work. Has telescoping column and near perfect 1968 wheel (very rare). Always garage kept and dry, no signs of rust, very clean underneath. The body has been painted at least once back in the mid-80's. It was a quality clear coat job and has held up well, but here are some cracks in all the common C3 places. From 10 feet away, it looks like a show car but up close you see the imperfections. Chrome appears to be original, again ok for a driver car. Engine is a CE block, meaning that it was likely replaced under warranty when the car was nearly new. Everything else in the engine bay appears original, but I have not verified any numbers. This car is like a time capsule, it is what it was 40 years ago. Not so perfect that you can't take it for a ride whenever you want, but still looks very nice.Trim: ConvertibleDoors: 2
