1974 Chevrolet Corvette

1974 Corvette Stingray Convertible. This Corvette has just had a ton of money invested and is turn-key and ready to drive and enjoy! It also has a very rare factory 4-speed manual transmission mated to a perfect running 350 V8 engine, which makes this car a blast to drive. This Stingray is an excellent driver quality classic sports car that gets a lot of attention and thumbs up from admirers every time its driven . Mechanically, this Corvette is in excellent condition with all systems functioning properly. The 350 V8 powerplant IT IS original NUMBERS MATCH. It currently sports an Edlebrock intake manifold and carb, upgraded distributor and wires, and has polished valve covers to dress up under the hood. The engine fires up instantly from a cold start with no hesitation or smoke from the exhaust. It idles smoothly and maintains excellent oil pressure. Cruising down the road, the engine runs cool and makes nice predictable power and revs out strong. It feels like a very fresh motor. The 4 speed manual transmission makes this car way more fun to drive than the much more common automatics. The clutch engages as it should and there are no grinds between gear changes. This Vette is equipped with power steering and power brakes, both of which are operating perfectly. The vacuum actuated flip up headlights are working great too. Cosmetically, it is in great shape. The paint job looks fresh and is nice driver quality. It looks flawless from 5 feet away. The paint was laid out beautifully across the surfaces of the body with no runs or orange peel. Up close a careful inspection reveals that all the trim, rubber gaskets, and lights were taped off. This is not a concourse refinish, but it is certainly respectable for cruise nights. The interior appears all original and is in great condition. The seats and dash are very nice and everything is working properly.
