Listing Description
1962 CHEVROLET IMPALA SS A complete rotisserie restoration resulted in one of the cleanest 1962 Impalas ever produced. This car is in beautiful condition and has been completely deconstructed and then rebuilt with all new or rebuilt components. From front to rear the fit and finish is immaculate. All of the body panels are original with no added bondo or evidence of extensive rust repair. With restoration all new floors were put in eliminating any future problems that would come with a 50-year old undercarriage. The car is painted Black Cherry Metallic that pops out in the sun and suits this car perfectly. This combined with the mirror-like finish on the chrome and stainless creates an awe-inspiring classic that stands out in the crowd. The glass is all in good condition with a slight tint that works beautifully with the black cherry paint. The car has Cragar SS wheels that are a perfect choice to accentuate the tough muscle car appearance. With the rebuild everything on the car was inspected including the original drive train. Powered by the numbers matching 327 V8 this car has no problem cruising down the road. Aftermarket Edelbrock valve covers were added along with a chrome circle air cleaner to add a bit of shine to the stock appearance. A power brake booster is in place to assist the front disc brakes. Power steering was added to provide a very updated feel when driving. The 700R4 transmission backs the V8 up with no issues sending power back to the 3:73 rear gears. The interior is black and all the upholstery is brand new. Since completion great care was taken to maintain a perfect appearance. The dash received a fresh coat of paint and extra panels were tied in to house the Classic Air AC vents. All the original style switches and knobs are in place and all have a clean finish. A stock speedometer was utilized with after market gauges set into the stock trim piece that overlays it. A polished Ididit tilt steering column is topped with an aftermarket Billet steering wheel.Trim: SSDoors: 2
