1966 Chevrolet Impala

1966 Chevrolet Impala SS 283! This car was put through a Frame Off Restoration 20 years ago and has only been driven about 15k miles since that restoration! The frame was powder coated in light blue and all new body bushings and all new suspension and steering components were installed at that time. A new stainless steel gas tank was also installed as well as all new brake and fuel lines. The engine was completely machined and rebuilt and a performance camshaft was installed along with an aftermarket 4 barrel intake manifold, Holley 650 Double Pumper Carburetor, Powder Coated Corvette Rams Head Exhaust Manifolds and 2 ¾ inch Stainless Dual Exhaust with Flowmaster Mufflers. The original 2 speed Powerglide transmission was replaced with a brand new TCI Turbo 350 3 Speed Automatic Transmission. The trans shifts VERY Firmly!! The rear axle was rebuilt and upgraded to a 4.11 ratio Posi-traction Rear!! The car belonged to a close friend of mine who has since passed away and has been stored outside at my house for the last 5 years. It had been stored outside at his house since he purchased the car in 1999. Since it had been stored outside for all of the last 20 years the weather took its toll on the body and paint. It will need some rust repair and a total repaint but the bottom of the car is still almost like new. The floor pans had been powder coated in gloss black during its restoration and even after 20 years they are still shiny black and solid. The trunk floor is solid but does have some scaling rust on the inside due to a trunk seal leak.
