Lifted Truck \"Frankenstein\"\r\n\r\nThe Story:\r\n\r\nI spotted this truck on Craigslist some five years ago. It had a Cat v-8 and a ten-speed transmission. It ran well, so my buddy and I drove it around some and people were very impressed although it was \"butt\" ugly. \r\nSo we thought how cool it would be to make it pretty and we began the teardown, We ended up replacing everything but the frame, and -- five years later -- the end result has been amazing with \"Frankie\" being the star of car shows and parades!\r\n\r\nDetails:\r\n\r\nFrankenstein needs a few minor things to complete the build. The new owner can apply finishing and personal touches. And be ready to impress the crowds!\r\n1942 Chevrolet 506G Series Military Cab sitting on a later model bobbed 2.5 ton chassis.\r\nRockwell axels and transfer case. Trans is a rebuilt Spicer 6052 five-speed.\r\nEngine is 1994 5.9 12 valve second-generation Cummins Turbo Diesel from a well-maintained 4 x 2 pick-up.\r\nFront and rear Yukon lockers, A.V.M. locking hubs, Wilwood disc brakes.\r\n24 Volt alternator with two batteries to power Mile Marker 15 K # winch and 12 volt system.\r\n80” factory flatbed with custom built-in exhaust stacks, LED lights illuminate ‘Frankenstein’ face in the headache rack panel which strobes in several colors.\r\nAll body panels taken down to bare metal and professional body work done.\r\nBed, custom bumper and grill are powder coated.\r\nMechanicals and fabrication done by a professional shop.\r\nProfessionally built black walnut side boards.\r\nTruck recently completed, has not been taken off-road.\r\nBuilt for show but designed for off-road power.\r\nHas on-board air for Rockwell T-136 transfer case engage.\r\nHigh low neutral is manual.\r\nTires are Michelin 395-85-20’s on military bead lock aluminum wheels, wheelbase is 115” and tires are 88” outside to outside.\r\nRough Stuff track bars, 2, 50-gallon fuel tanks.\r\nThis truck stands tall, 9 ½ feet to the top of the stacks, 6’ 10” to the nose of the hood, tires are 46” tall.\r\nThere is room to add your own personal touches.\r\n“Frankie” gets major attention wherever he goes.
