Listing Description

1968 Dodge Charger. H code - 383 4 bbl HP version. Power Steering, power (drum) brakes, A/C. Engine recently rebuilt as was the transmission (727 floor shift). QQ1 paint code - one repaint which is quite nice - better than factory. No rust anywhere. Sales order number matches on radiator support, fender tag, and build sheet. VIN number match on dashboard tag, engine, and transmission. I have not pulled up the trunk weather stripping to check but looking at it appears to match VIN as it should. As far as I can tell the 71K miles shown on odometer is accurate - brake pedal doesn\'t show much wear at all, seats are hardly worn, etc. Aftermarket door upper pads (there is no \"Charger\" emblem) - I don\'t know where they came from but they look fine. Fender tag decodes as:\r\nCode # 2 = 5 - drip rail mouldings\r\nAxle ratio 4 = 3.23 ratio non-posi\r\nR = 6 - vinyl bucket seats\r\nM = B - interior color light blue\r\nPNT = Q - bright blue metallic\r\nOptional Codes:\r\nA = 1 - 26\" radiator\r\nH = 1 - power brakes\r\nP = 6 - rear seat speaker\r\nR = 1 - AM radio\r\nS = 1 - air conditioning\r\nX = 1 - tinted glass (all)\r\na = 6 - console\r\nb = 4 - bucket seats\r\nh = 7 - fender/hood mounted turn signal indicators\r\nk = 7 - passenger outside manual mirror\r\nm = 6 - driver\'s outside remote operated mirror\r\nAll options are present and accounted for. There is a white tail stripe on the car which it didn\'t come with from the factory (it is vinyl and can be removed). Also the section above the rear bumper is painted black which it shouldn\'t be from the factory. A/C though working needs to be recharged with freon - the system works but I\'m not qualified for R12 and don\'t want to switch over the system to R134. Car has aftermarket 15 inch wheels near new 225/60-15 in front and 275/60-15 in rear, tires near new. Wipers not working currently (I do not drive it in the rain). Rear axle seeps a bit, no leaks but there is seepage. Aftermarket water temp and oil pressure gauges because I don\'t trust the originals - original wiring remains if you want to hook those back up with new sending units. Steering wheel (original) is not perfect. All lights and horn works (even the ignition key light and the trunk light!).\r\nCar is amazing because it\'s so original - you will not find too many 1968 cars this original; particularly a Charger. Add to that the color and this is a once in a lifetime that\'s not in a museum or locked up in a collection somewhere. Car is located at my home in Brentwood - Northern California zip 94513
