1971 Dodge Demon 340 Stroker – Hughes Engine, Mid-10 Second Car This ’71 Demon is purpose-built for serious performance, powered by a Hughes Engines 340 with a 4” stroker kit. Topped with a tunnel ram intake and dual Demon 650 carbs, it’s a monster on the strip and a head-turner everywhere else. Backing the power is a 904 transmission with a reverse manual valve body, upgraded with extra sprag and clutches—as strong (or stronger) than a 727, while being lighter.
