Listing Description
1963 Dodge Polara 330 426 Dealer equipped Max Wedge. Cover Page Of Mopar Muscle Magazine. Bought Brand new in Bakersfield California right off the Dealers Show Room floor. Never used for street purposes. Just after the purchase, the engine was built by Dick Landy for drag racing only. It was then retired and garaged in the early 1970s. This car was a low 10 second car beating all in its class back in the 60s. It still has the original drive train, paint and interior. Always garaged, Rust free, and never crashed. In 2010 the engine was gone through by H.L. Shahan (Drag Racer, 'Dragon Ladies' Husband and Mopar Engine Builder).H.L. replaced the head gaskets with 80 thousands thick gaskets to reduce the high compression ratio so it can run on pump gas instead of race gas enabling it drive on the streets for the first time. This was requested by the original owner, so he can drive it on the streets. Unfortunately the original owner passed away and never got a chance to fulfill his wish. The car was sold to Ted Moser Prsident of Picture Car Warehouse.Doors: 2
