Listing Description

1950 Dodge B2B 1/2 ton pickup. Sometimes referred to as a Pilot House. I bought this truck about a year ago because I needed a project and I thought it was cool. I still think it is cool, but I need the room for another project. The truck has 87,000+ miles on it and the motor was rebuilt around 75,000. It runs great, sounds great and is very smooth. The Fluid-Drive works as it should and is real nice around town. Once you are rolling you can put it in third gear and not touch the clutch again until you stop. Things I have done: The entire brake system has been replaced from the master cylinder to all the parts in the wheels. The truck stops. I have also changed all fluids, the engine twice, and lubed the chassis. New parts include: battery, seat cover and seat belts, spark plugs and the wood bed in back. Things that still need finished: The shocks might not be original but they perform like it. They need replaced. I would also replace the front tires and the head liner is a loose. And then there is the rust. Although I love the patina on the exterior, rust is present. The worst and most noticable is the floor boards. The previous owner had rubber floor mats and the air vent on the engine cowl leaked. Water was trapped under the mats and you can see the results. I have covered the holes with license plates. Mechanically, the truck is solid and has been fairly easy to work on. Two items I have not dealt with are the windshield wipers and the heater. The P. O. thought the heater leaked, but I haven\'t messed with it. I have vintage plates on it and only drove it last summer around town so I didn\'t need either. I have driven the truck about a thousand miles. It is easy to drive and proven to be reliable. Keep in mind that this is not a high speed road burner. It is geared very low and is best used around town or on country roads. The truck comes with a clear title, owners manual, shop manual and a folder full of receipts, many going way back.Body Style: PickupDoors: 2Fuel Type: GasDrive Type: RWD
