1949 Dodge Wayfarer

1949 Dodge Wayfarer Roadster 10K miles ago. I have replaced the water pump, electric fuel pump, electric engine cooling fan module and one hood hinge. The radio works, but one side of the output does not work and will need attention. Car is a lot of fun to drive, gets decent gas mileage and tons of attention. All rust cut out and replaced with same gauge new metal caulked and undercoated and covered with sound deadening insulation. The drivers floor was the worse going out to the inside of the sill. The trunk and rear floor were all very solid and needed no work. 225 Chrysler slant six professionally rebuilt bored .060 with all new .010 bearings, new high capacity oil pump, isky 264 degree cam new push rods straightened, head surfaced and 3 angle valve job. All new clutch components including linkage bushings. The intake is from Australia and runs 3 Austin Healy 1 3/4' SU carbs which were completely rebuilt including oversize throttle shafts and bushings. The exhaust manifolds were custom cast (not an old split exhaust) for correct flow and ceramic coated inside and out to cut heat down.Pertronix electronic ignition, electric fuel pump with crash sensitive shut off. Hand formed aluminum heat shield and heat shield wrapped fuel components. Spin on oil filter. Rare offenhauser finned aluminum valve cover. 2 1/2' dual exhaust thru flow master mufflers. Sounds like a small block chevy very little six cylinder rap. Chrysler A833 4 speed with 4th gear converted to a 26% overdrive. Great for mileage yet still with great power. New U joints all around and late open drive line. Floor mounted Hurst shifter.
