Vehicle Details
Listing Description
1964 Ford Galaxie 500 XL. This car is an unrestored survivor. This is car runs and drives great, i would drive it anywhere. 360 FE bottom end, fresh rebuild with about 300 miles (numbers matching 352 block will be included with sale, I believe it has a spun bearing) 352 FE heads Autolite 4100 carb 3 speed auto Power steering Heat works good Wipers work All lights work Lots of new parts All trim is present and in good condition Interior is all original and complete except for the rear package tray. Carpet appears to be newer, it’s in excellent condition. Body is in overall good condition. The black paint can be brought back to a shine if you so choose. Has some minor rust but nothing major. This is an amazing car, you just don’t see unrestored cars like this any more. Yes it is rough around the edges, in all the right ways. No amount of money could replicate the character and patina of this car. The car is structurally sound. Frame is great with little to no rust. Floors and trunk are very solid, couple minor pin holes in the trunk. The car does have some superficial surface rust here and there, and a few small places that are more than surface rust. It’s all very easily fixable, but I hope whoever buys this car doesn’t change a thing. The painted lettering that is seen in a couple of the pics is gone now. The only thing that remains is the “MADE IN USA†hand painted on the trunk lid.
