Listing Description

1965 Ford Galaxie 500 convertible. This Ford has excellent paint that shows very well. Imperfections, if any, are difficult to find. It is a professional re-spray that included all door jambs. No evidence of repair were found to exist. The body is very straight with the only minor issue being two very small bubbles right over the passenger side rear wheel. They are very tiny and only are visible after a detailed inspection. They will not need attention for quite a while. The car is 99.9% rust free. The power top works as it should and it has a clear rear window. It has no rips or tears. It has a slight gap on the drivers' side but is otherwise in good condition. It may need to be stretched over a slight bit. The convertible boot accompanies the car. The interior seats were recovered in a red velour material and are roll and pleated. They are very comfortable and do not get hot like vinyl when sitting in the sun. There are no rips or tears on the seats either. The door and side panels are original and are very clean. The dash matches the interior and all gauges work. Aftermarket ammeter, oil pressure and temperature gauges were added under the dash. . A nice improvement from warning lights. Also added under the dash is a Kenwood stereo with speakers front and rear. The original radio is installed in the dash but is not connected. There is a slight lifting of the dash vinyl where the gauge cluster meets the main dash. They are separate parts There are no cracks in the dash. The Odometer shows 34000 but true mileage is unknown. The carpet and floor mats are in excellent condition. The car is powered by an NOM 302 cubic inch Ford engine. . It is highly detailed and very clean. It runs very well and starts right up. It has a 4 barrel Edelbrock carburetor that is dialed in well. It still uses the original air filter so everything looks stock from the top. It looks like a Pertronix electronic ignition was also installed. Recently the valve seals were replaced.Trim: ConvertibleDoors: 2
