1966 Ford Mustang

1966 Mustang convertible, 4 speed with Pony interior. Earlier restoration by a well know Mustang restorer in Maryland. When restored, the 289 was upgraded to a 302 with a Holley 4 barrel, 4 speed, refinished in red and black interior. GT package items include rally pack with working tachometer, GT steering wheel, wood accents, fog lights, rear luggage rack etc, also added were the rare Shelby GT wheels. To prepare the car for sale, $3000 was spent over the last 30 days on the following: New clutch, 4 brand new Dunlap radial tires, front and rear brakes, starter, solenoid, voltage regulator, engine wiring harness, mechanical fuel pump and electric fuel pump, new gas tank, fuel sending unit, fresh oil change and oil filter, air filter, spark plugs, spark plug wires, distributor cap, electronic ignition, battery and rebuilt Holley carburetor. The body is nice, one area bubbling on the corner of the drivers door appears, it is hard. The paint is nice, there is some fading and has been touched up in a few areas, the paint on the passenger side is extremely nice. The under carriage is also nice, the floor boards are solid. The Pony interior with GT package looks good, the dash is perfect and the door panels are very nice. The drivers seat bottom has cracks and separation and the passenger seat bottom has some also as seen in the pictures, the backs and the rear seat are nice. All lights work including the brake lights, turn signals, dash lights, door lights and the fog lights, as does the power convertible top. The car starts, drives, shifts and stops very well, drives perfectly straight at 60 miles an hour. The top is serviceable, but included in the sale is a brand new top and rear window along with the shop manual, owners manuals, warranty manual, top manual, GT manual, wiring diagram etc along with period correct Maryland license plates and a clean Maryland title.
