1960 Ford Thunderbird

1960 FORD THUNDERBIRD One of the rare 'square birds!' Painted in it's original color, Burgundy Metalic, this car is also equipped with leather interior, factory air, and power drivers seat. A rare combo for 1960! got the car around ten years ago, it had 1978 plates on it. changed all the fluids, flushed the radiator, dropped a new battery in it and it started right up and ran great!. had the transmission checked out at a local trans shop and anything found was corrected.Rebuilt the four barrel carb, Had the original radiator re-cored (wanted to keep the original tags on the radiator!), had a stainless exhaust ordered and put on, new water pump, new belts and hoses. The car also had the suspension redone alone with the brakes. New radial tires make for a nicer ride. The original 'Tiger Paw' is still in the trunk!As is the original jack, etc. The car comes with the original owners book and a genuine Ford service manual. Over all solid car. The doors, hood, and trunk all line up perfectly. Doors are amazing when you close them! A slight push, and they close tight! The radio works, but some nice person snapped the antenna off at Best Buy! I have a replacement. Nice folks out there! Trunk and floors are original and solid. Overall a great car!Fun to take to 'cruise nite with the kids!' An article in Hemmings said the square birds were in the top ten 'good investments'! you rarely see them going down the road.
