Listing Description

1975 GMC Sierra Classic C15 Here it is Folks! America\'s 1st Luxury Pickup Truck.. well, 1 of 1500/2500 (the actual # is debatable). Whatever the number is, this RARE truck has become one of the most desirable and collectable Special Editions ever built! GJ History: The Gentleman Jim was a collaboration between GM & Hickey Enterprises of California to literally \'Deck Out\' a truck. Basically a Highly Optioned, 350 powered GMC Sierra Classic 2wd LWB, only available in Black & Yuba Gold, with Factory bucket seats, console and 8 track player would roll into the dealership and meet it\'s \'Image Maker\' kit (as Hickey called it). There it was transformed into a \'Gentleman Jim\' with one of a kind bed rails & tonneau cover, Cibie Fog Lights (imported from France), chrome mud flaps, locking lug nuts and the Signature Gentleman Jim Floor Mats & Decals. All Gentleman Jims were the same with the only variation being the placement of the foglight switch and slight positioning differences in the decal placement from dealership to dealership. Meet, \'Idaho Jim\' as we call this beauty! This Fremont, California built Gent was assembled in January of 1975 and sold in the Boise, Idaho area. Owned by one family until my buddy Brad @idahosquare found it and purchased it from the Original owner\'s son Randy (pictured in the comments below) in Ontario, Oregon. Randy\'s dad used it as a truck. He hauled rocks, lumber, supplies and his boat to lake regularly.. which he ran into the back & tailgate a few times over the years. Gotta love the Story & the Character those things created! Mechanical: Has been my Reliable, daily driver/shop truck for the last 2 years.. Engine is a 1982 C2R Code, 305 from a Monte Carlo, TH350 automatic transmission. Runs and drives really well! New water pump, alternator, plugs, wires, cap & rotor, ignition module, carb rebuilt, all Fluids Changed, new heater core, brakes, tires and more. I went with Cooper Trendsetter whitewall tires.Body Style: PickupDoors: 2Drive Type: 2WD
