Vehicle Details
Listing Description
1953 GMC 3/4 ton Step-Side Pickup, with ONLY 94,495 ORIGINAL MILES. Has not been driven since 1983! It was running fine when parked, and still starts and runs. This is a southwest desert truck. Has the original special ordered Factory heavy Bull bumper in front and heavy Step bumper in the rear. This is the Original 6-cylinder 228ci Engine & heavy truck 4-speed transmission. With the exception of one tiny 1/4' spot in bottom corner of cab and another on the side of the bed under a stake mount, where some dirt and hay got trapped, absolutely no other rust, Solid as a rock. Doors still open and shut like new, nice tight gap fit on the doors and hood. Tailgate opens and closes fine. The Bed has no dents, is not beat up and railing is straight. Never wrecked, couple small dents in the left fenders where it was kicked by a rowdy Bull. All original, even has the original Heater and Radio, Needs the upholstery redone, paint is still the original Green color but mostly gone and showing more primer than paint. Bed will need a new wood kit. Has grease fittings throughout and was always serviced and well maintained when driven, so it should need very little mechanical work to be drivable again. I overhauled the engine and put a new clutch in at about 80,000 miles. This is perfect for a full restoration or fix up and drive. Tires hold air but I did install them in 1974. The radio, heater and glove box door are boxed up, removed for safekeeping when put into storage. Has a Clean Title.Doors: 2
