1991 Nissan Figaro For Sale The Nissan Figaro is the best known of the "Pike Cars", neo- retro style cars created by the Pike Factory, a Nissan entity responsible for creating cars in the (Japanese) trends of the time to seek out a young clientele. 20,000 units of the Figaro were marketed, only in Japan, but the car is found over the years all over the world. In the 1980s, Japanese car productions stood out more for their incredible reliability than for their rather bland design. But Nissan is ready to shake up the codes, it must be said that the brand is losing market share in its own country, and it is especially the young clientele that Nissan can no longer convince.

So, to seek out this clientele, Nissan created the Pike Factory in 1984 and surfed the neo-retro wave. Therefore, Micra K10, this entity produced then marketed the Be1 in early 1987, followed by the Pao and S- cargo in 1989, still on the same basis. In 1989, the Pike Factory also presented a new prototype, a convertible coupe inspired by the lines of the 1950s, the inspirations are numerous, the most likely being the Datsun Fairlady or the very French Panhard Junior.

This project, much noticed, was eagerly awaited in Nissan dealerships, and when the car was finally available for purchase in 1991, Nissan announced that only 8,000 Figaros would be produced. Always made on the basis of a Micra K10, the Figaro is equipped with a four-cylinder petrol engine with a displacement of 988cm3, equipped with a turbocharger which brings the power to 76Ch, more than enough to move the 810kg of the Figaro. The car comes standard with a three-speed automatic transmission which prevents the engine from expressing itself fully, but unparalleled driving pleasure.

In terms of performance, the Figaro has a top speed of 170 km/h and a fuel consumption of 7.3 liters per 100 km. As far as equipment is concerned, the Nissan Figaro has nothing to be ashamed of since it offers leather seats as standard, headrests integrated into the seats, radio CD and cassette, power steering, air conditioning, electric windows... It is available in four colors (Mist Topaz, Emerald Green, Pale Aqua and Lapis Grey ) which represent the four seasons.
