966 Oldsmobile 442. Professionally Restored 1966 Olds 442, 455 motor and an automatic transmission. I purchased about 10 years ago I am being forced to sell because of my age and health. I have 8 Vintage vehicles. I had 15 a few years ago. I started with a super nice car originally. No rust and a straight body. I purchased it because it did not need a rotisserie restoration. This is a matching number car. 1. Dash 2. Motor 3. title numbers matching numbers Trans automatic. Has posi traction. You can drive it home. The Air Conditioning System has been restored. Hoses and many other parts are new. Converted to modern 134 freon. Tires are new with 2 miles. Tip one: Gm was having problems with gas percolating in the carburetor. on Big Block Motors. A metal plate was designed to stop this problem. If the plate is missing under the carburetor you should wonder what else is missing. My car has this metal plate. This will help prevent a gasoline fire. Tip two 1. Vintage vehicles have fuel system problems for a long time. storage. 2. Old gas has varnish. Car will start but old gas leaves varnish on the valve stems. When the car cools down the valves stick in the open position. 3. The fuel tank was removed and pressure washed . 4. Fuel lines were flushed with carburetor cleaner. 5. Fuel pump is new. 6.The Original Carb was rebuilt by National carburetor in Jacksonville Fl. 7. The automatic choke was replaced for $220. 8. Has the original air Cleaner been fully restored.. 8. Fuel filters are new. I restored many cars over the years. I was in the restoration business. I have a very experienced vintage auto rebuilder friend. He and I are the only people that work in my shop. Phil has 40 years and I have 50 years. We are presently restoring a 1957 La’tar’i for Amelia Island and Pebble Beach Car Shows 2022. A Latari built in 1957.
