Listing Description

1967 OLDSMOBILE TORNADO The Oldsmobile Toronado is a personal luxury car manufactured and marketed by the Oldsmobile division of General Motors from 1966 to 1992 over four generations. The Toronado was noted for its transaxle version of GM\'s Turbohydramatic transmission, making it the first U.S.-produced front-wheel drive automobile since the demise of the Cord in 1937. First generation (1966–1970) In 1967, Cadillac adopted its own version of the UPP for the Cadillac Eldorado, using the Cadillac V8 engine. The Eldorado also shared the E-body shell with the Toronado and Riviera, but its radically different styling meant that the three cars did not look similar at all. This not something you see everyday. This Toronado makes a really fun daily driver or weekend cruiser. This example has a later model 455ci engine, updated alternator, electronic ignition, new exhaust with a Magnaflow muffler, rebuilt axles and a fresh tune up. This is a solid driver that\'s ready to go. This is a straight and solid Nevada car with nice color combination of burgundy exterior and black interior. The car has been always garage kept and well maintained. All glass is good and the chrome is nice and shiny. The undercarriage is solid just some surface imperfection nothing major. The car looks very original and clean. The interior is very complete with nicely reupholstered seat.
