1970 Plymouth Duster
Vehicle Details
Listing Description
1970 Plymouth Duster These A-body slant back Mopar 2 door sport hardtops are becoming scarce and quite desireble. According to its fender tag, this Plymouth Duster started life at the Hamtramck, MI assembly plant on July 12, 1970, the last week of production for the 1970 models. In addition to the optional 318 cubic inch 2 barrel carburetor engine, this Duster was also factory-optioned with a Torqueflite 904 Automatic Transmission, Air-Conditioning (which is currently non-operational), AM Music Master Radio, and a very rare optional Rear Window Defogger that still works perfect! There have been several recent upgrades made to this 46-year old classic including a brand new Holley 670 vacuum secondary aluminum 4-barrel carburetor with Edelbrock intake, a new fuel tank, and a new starter. The car runs and drives but will need new tires soon as well an an upgrade to its exhaust system before it can be considered roadworthy. The exterior body has had a repaint about 10-15 years ago in the original Lemon Twist Y1 yellow and still has a nice glossy finish. There are some bubbles forming under the paint on the lower skin panels of the passenger door and rear quarter panel and some rust-thru in the same areas of the drivers side. The black vinyl interior is in considerably good condition with some rips and holes in the factory rubber flooring material. The original front bench seat has been replaced with a pair of what appear to be late model Charger/Magnum bucket seats but a pair of used A-body buckets are included with the car. Also included but not installed are a set of used Headman headers, Flowmaster mufflers and OE tail pipes.Doors: 2
