Description
1976 Pontiac Trans Am. Are you looking for a classic car that will make you stand out from the crowd? Do you want to feel the power and speed of a legendary muscle car? If so, you might be interested in this Rare 1976 Trans Am for sale! This car is a rare find, clean title. It has a 7.5 liter 455 V8 engine, Only 7k produced in 1976 came equiped with 455/4speed combo from the factory and to be honest this is the only 455 one ive seen in person.
Red interior/exterior from factory with the TA graphics, the car has since been painted black. Needs a bit of TLC but given the fact that theres no rust and the body is original metal and solid this is a good candidate for some love. Has a 455 in it with the factory heads (6H low compression) that ive had running before but I had a 455 Built for it that is separate from the vehicle and im debating selling as well It is a true collector's item that will only increase in value over time as you just cant find these anymore unless they're fully restored(60k+) or modded all to hell and even then your not likely to find a factory 455/4speed (WW) on the vin car.
Fun fact: This car pulled a.8 g turn on the skid pad in 1976 WITH bias ply tires. If your familiar with Trans am's and how they handle you know that they can throw you against the door in the turns and by 1976 they had the suspension down pretty well. This car with some modern rubber will be a blast to drive.

Classic Pontiac Firebird Buyer's Guide
The Pontiac Firebird launched in February 1967 as Pontiac's F-body sister to the Chevrolet Camaro, and across thirty-five years of production it built one of the most loyal enthusiast followings in American automotive history. From the 1969 Trans Am (the launch of the iconic performance trim that would define Pontiac for decades) through the 1973-1974 SD-455 cars (the last truly raw muscle Pontiacs before federal emissions de-tuning), the 1977 Smokey and the Bandit Trans Am that kicked off second-generation pop-culture immortality, and the 1980s third-generation IROC-era cars, every Firebird era has its own buyer profile and its own pitfalls. This guide covers what every buyer should verify before paying premium money for any Firebird Trans Am or Formula variant.
