Description
1979 Pontiac Trans AM Frame off nut and bolt Restoration finished 2022 Rebuilt 403 CID Engine and Rebuilt 3 speed automatic transmission driven less than 500 miles since final assembly. Originally Heritage Brown from factory this Trans Am now sports a Nocturn Blue metallic paint with new exterior decals and emblems. Factory Interior Code 62B “Carmel Cloth” was installed 2022 new complete including steering wheel, dash pad, bucket seats, carpet, headliner, center console, front and rear door panels.
Updated Blue Tooth retro stereo Undercarriage is in factory new restored condition front to back. Car was built in Van Nuys California 2nd Week February 1979. As the 1970s drew to a close, the 1979 Pontiac Firebird received a new nose, with the four rectangular headlights all in their own bezels, and the split grille was moved below them.
The rear end featured blackout panels disguising the taillights on Formula and Trans Am models. All models also received some revised graphics. A special silver 10th Anniversary edition Trans Am was sold in what would be the last year for the Pontiac 400 engine which were stockpiled from 1978.
This Trans AM starts, drives and runs like new with completely new suspension, shocks, rear leaf springs, 4 wheel disc brakes, factory real limited slip axle, new exhaust, mufflers and catalytic converter. Everything on this build has been rebuilt or replaced. Paint and body are 9 out of 10 with original trunk and floor pans.
Doors open and close like new and lines are laser straight. Stunning car that will win awards and be a dependable cruiser show car.
