Description
1981 Pontiac Firebird Trans Am Pontiac produced only 2,000 of the 1981 NASCAR Pontiac Tubro Trans Ams. It was the pace car for the Daytona 500 race in 1981. All 2,000 were equipped with every option GM had for Pontiac at that time.
Every one had the turbo charger, black striping over the Artic White paint and the Red and Black Recaro seats. She has 96,600 gentle miles on her. All numbers match and the car is completely original except for the updated AC system.
The car has never been repainted except for the front rubber bumper. The bird on the hood is also original as you can see discoloration around the clear part of the decal. I am 87 years old and have owned the car for over 25 years.
It's finally time to let her go. She has been garaged all her life and driven very little over the last 20 years. She runs strong and and the turbo works great. This is a true collectors car as so few were produced. condition: excellent cylinders: 8 cylinders drive: rwd fuel: gas odometer: 96600 paint color: white title status: clean transmission: automatic type: coupe Please Note The Following **Vehicle Location is at our clients home and Not In Cadillac, Michigan. **We do have a showroom with about 25 cars that is by appointment only **Please Call First and talk to one of our reps at 231-468-2809 EXT 1 **

Classic Pontiac Firebird Buyer's Guide
The Pontiac Firebird launched in February 1967 as Pontiac's F-body sister to the Chevrolet Camaro, and across thirty-five years of production it built one of the most loyal enthusiast followings in American automotive history. From the 1969 Trans Am (the launch of the iconic performance trim that would define Pontiac for decades) through the 1973-1974 SD-455 cars (the last truly raw muscle Pontiacs before federal emissions de-tuning), the 1977 Smokey and the Bandit Trans Am that kicked off second-generation pop-culture immortality, and the 1980s third-generation IROC-era cars, every Firebird era has its own buyer profile and its own pitfalls. This guide covers what every buyer should verify before paying premium money for any Firebird Trans Am or Formula variant.
