Description
1984 Pontiac Firebird Trans Am 2dr Hatchback. This previous 1 owner Trans Am was bought new in 1984. It currently has 38,011 miles on it. The couple had always had possession of this car. They enjoyed it, maintained it very well and recently decided to sell it, I was at the local car show event and recently became the owner of this extremely well kept 'Muscle Car' in its era of 1984 production.
The car is all numbers matching and the original window stickers and 'most' all of the 'paid bill' repair receipts are also with this car. The 5.0 engine AOD transmission and limited slip rear-end are all original to this car. The original (11L/11U) paint and Firebird decals, the spoiler, Delco AM/FM sound system are all original!! The correct original luxury cloth velour light blue interior shows, feels, smells, and sits like brand new!!! Original Firebird Alum. rims are in very nice condition.
The radial Cooper CS3 touring ( 215/65 R 15 ) tires have been replaced and showing very few miles since installed. All of the tinted glass, factory gauges, exterior and dash lights, heater, A/C (needs charged), steering, suspension, under body-floors, 4 wheel disc brakes, factory ERO package, are all in ' like new condition'. This car drives perfectly and is very responsive going down the highway.
This 'all original' car will make anyone a very proud owner. Classic Pontiac Firebird Buyer's Guide
The Pontiac Firebird launched in February 1967 as Pontiac's F-body sister to the Chevrolet Camaro, and across thirty-five years of production it built one of the most loyal enthusiast followings in American automotive history. From the 1969 Trans Am (the launch of the iconic performance trim that would define Pontiac for decades) through the 1973-1974 SD-455 cars (the last truly raw muscle Pontiacs before federal emissions de-tuning), the 1977 Smokey and the Bandit Trans Am that kicked off second-generation pop-culture immortality, and the 1980s third-generation IROC-era cars, every Firebird era has its own buyer profile and its own pitfalls. This guide covers what every buyer should verify before paying premium money for any Firebird Trans Am or Formula variant.
