Description
1995 Firebird Formula V8 5.7L LT1 with Manual 6-Speed Owned this for about a year. It was a one owner car before I got it. It was garage kept, babied and owned by a woman. Never been abused.
This vehicle is located near Houston Texas. It is a very clean stock vehicle. Not many in this condition. It’s a rocket ship with the 5.7L V8 LT1 motor, lightweight body and the 6-speed Manual transmission is a blast to drive.
The Front End and suspension is solid and the frame having never left the Texas environment is rust free and solid. It holds solid on high-speeds. Feels like the driver is in total control. The Interior is clean with no tears or rips.
The 6-Speed manual shifts smoothly and the clutch is solid. Engine has not been modified or hacked up. It was well taken care of.. I used it everyday for 3 months last fall to drive it to work and back. (15 miles).
Oil pressure is great, engine doesn’t miss a beat. No check engine light. Doesn’t burn oil. Brakes are solid. Rear end is smooth. The 6-speed is a blast. All gauges work and the AC is cold. Driving this car everything feels solid and runs and drives exceptionally well.
It will give the newer muscle cars a run for the money.. Plenty of power…Currently has 122k of easy miles. 2-Cons – Needs tires and the Dash is cracked in places. Has a dash cover on it now. Classic Pontiac Firebird Buyer's Guide
The Pontiac Firebird launched in February 1967 as Pontiac's F-body sister to the Chevrolet Camaro, and across thirty-five years of production it built one of the most loyal enthusiast followings in American automotive history. From the 1969 Trans Am (the launch of the iconic performance trim that would define Pontiac for decades) through the 1973-1974 SD-455 cars (the last truly raw muscle Pontiacs before federal emissions de-tuning), the 1977 Smokey and the Bandit Trans Am that kicked off second-generation pop-culture immortality, and the 1980s third-generation IROC-era cars, every Firebird era has its own buyer profile and its own pitfalls. This guide covers what every buyer should verify before paying premium money for any Firebird Trans Am or Formula variant.
