1978 Pontiac Firebird

1978 Pontiac Trans Am Limited Edition. A true find!!! One of only 172 made. Limited edition Gold and Gold trans am. This car was featured in Hesha's video. This car was rotissory restored. It features a 455 big block polished and bored out. A 4spd muncie transmission. It has a ws8 suspension. Stock alone this was the only car to ever beat the chevy Corvette in every category. The original 400 motor was fast but the 455 ads another 150 horse power. So much power that the rear end gears had to be lowered to keep the car stable. Originally the car would idle thru 2nd gear with the rear wheels spinning. That's no gas no clutch foot on the brakes and the rear wheels smoking up a storm. As you can guess this was a little expensive for tires and really would make the average driver nervous. New gears are much more usable and come with the original gears in a box. This car looks completely stock but can be converted to a full out race car with very little work. V-8 power steering, brakes, power windows,door locks, rear defroster, ac. This was a 3 year restoration with full bird. The medallion from the pontiac dealer is still hanging from the mirror. If you want a piece of history this is it. Also a special note the t-tops that came with the car are gold making the entire car gold. There are 3 sets of t-tops two black one original gold all included.
