1979 Toyota FJ40
Vehicle Details
Listing Description
1979 Toyota BJ40. Much like the Toyota FJ40 but with a factory Diesel engine. This vehicle originated in Costa Rica. have had it in the states for a few years and it has a clear Idaho title. Being older than 25 years it does not need to meet the emission laws in the states. Â have done very little to modify the Toyota . Â have installed a block heater for easier cold weather starts, had the alternator rebuilt and installed new factory glow plugs. Parts are very easy to get for this rig but just about everything need ordered. There is a company out of California that can get you anything you would ever need for it in about 2-4 business days. The parts are also pretty cheap because Toyota is still making parts for the BJ40s. Â have driven this Cruiser a lot and it gets pretty good milage. Some people say they get close to 30 MPGs but it would probably need to be tuned a bit differently to get that good of mileage. This Landcruiser has the 'B' series engine and it is the original engine with just over 40,000 miles. The Lancruiser was not driven much while it spent its life in Costa Rica and it shows. It has the original paint and no added modifications. There is surface rust here and there but nothing to bad. The engine is very solid and does not leak. Everything is ver mechanical and robust with the BJ40s and this is where their reliability comes from. Â amazing vehicle.Trim: BJ40Doors: 2
