Listing Description
1971 Volkswagen Beetle For Sale 1971 Is A Particularly Good Year For Beetles, As It's The Last Model Year For The Flat Windscreen That Helped Define The Classic "beetle" Shape. 1971 Also Marked The First Year For The 1600 Cc Engine With Twin-port Cylinder Heads That Produced A Whopping 60 Horsepower. (Interestingly, When The Beetle Went Out Of Production In 2004, The Final Engine Was 1600 Cc Producing The Same 60 Hp As This Car.) The Transmission Is A 4-speed Synchromesh Transmission, So Easy To Operate That Many Suggest That The Beetle Is The Ideal Platform On Which To Learn How To Drive "stick". This Transmission Works Perfectly. This Particular Example Is In Extremely Fine Condition, Having BenefitedFrom A Waxoyl Treatment When Originally Sold, And Therefore Is Virtually Rust-free. This Process Injects Rust-proofing Materials Inside The Panels And Prevents Rusts From Within Where It Usually Begins. The Interior Is Also Immaculate With No Tears In The Seats, Nor Cracks In The Dash Or Rips In The Door Panels. The Car Is Original Down To The Rare German Multi-band Radio From New (A Rare Option And Valuable To Collectors.) Nothing Has Been Modified On The Car (Other Than A Few Fun Stickers) So The Car Retains Its Collector Status. The Engine And Drivetrain Are Excellent, She Starts On A Dime And Runs And Drives As A Bug Should. If You Are Looking For A Solid, Reliable Vintage Beetle, This Rare Car In Its Fine Condition And With Its Low Price, Are Right!
