Listing Description

1973 Supper Beetle, Convertible, Karmann. When I bought this car I completely took it apart. I found rust in the floor so we cut it out and welded in new floor panels. One fender had bondo in it so we replaced it. Bumpers where rusty so we got new ones. Windshield was cracked so we replaced it. Dash was cracked so got a replacement cover for it. new interior, Kit from JBugs. New Cloth convertible top with white head liner. replaced the motor with a with the biggest we could find. 1.8 letter, with dual port heads, racing cam, rebuilt by the buggy house in Hayward. the motor has twin 2 barrel carburetors, and is high performance extractors and electronic distributer. the motor alone has over $10k in it alone. Reverse was out so we rebuilt the transmission. It has a racing clutch in it. I estimate the HP to be near 100. it really goes. All the break in services and adjustment where completed at; 500, 1,000, 1,500, and 3,000 with valve adjustments and retorting the heads and oil changing. the motor has electronic ignition an additional oil cooler mounted above the transmission and a oil filter assembly. suspension was taken apart and rebuilt. I have new 7.25" reverse chrome wheels with VW moons on them. Tires are oversized as a result with NO RUBBING anywhere. new breaks and drums. AND lastly but not least a new battery. Car has been painted 3x in its life. Original color was Yellow. It was white when I bought it and now it is NON METALLIC GUNMETAL GRAY. The interior is a Kit from Jbugs. as is the rugs. I drive this car care free and it is an extremely reliable car. My daughter lives in Utah and I drove it there in December. This car is a real HEAD TURNER. I estimate I have well over $33,000 in the car. All this work was done in 2013, I have put 20,200 care free miles on the car sense all this was done. I was told after I had gone to this extreme that it is much better to find one some one else has done. Well here is your chance! I am asking $8,500 for the car and it is a steal at this price.
