1986 Volkswagen Syncro Wesfalia - Bostig conversion = early 2000's Ford Focus engine, more power than stock, much more reliable, easy to work on - Original mileage is estimated around 250,000 miles (much less on the engine), odometer was not working when I bought it in May 2023. Gauge cluster is in kilometers. - Originally a weekender with pop-top. Camper interior, stove, fridge, sink, etc. was added by previous owner - 5 speed transmission, regular 4 speed tranny plus a low gear, great for steep dirt roads even in 2WD - 2 knob syncro with locking rear diff What needs attention: - 4wd does not engage, no air at the vacuum tank, I replaced the check valve (didn't troubleshoot further than that) - rear passenger side brake fluid leak, started this winter (have not investigated) - alternator not charging house battery, I replaced the alternator last fall after which the house battery stopped charging (starting battery is fine) - one of the rear CVs may be going (I have replacements that go with the van) This is my second Westy (both bostigs because they are great conversions! (one with cruise control and AC).

Though not a perfect van, I took it all over last year) and would happily drive it anywhere!
