Listing Description

1964 Buick Riviera is restored, but all original body panels and in excellent condition. It's killer-clean, and has an updated classic sixties look. This car needs nothing. To start, I bought this car in 2012 from a man in Sand Springs Oklahoma. He worked for and on the car at the Hot Rod Garage in Sand Springs, OK. In the past 2 years, Hot Rod Garage has received national recognition for being the shop that did the work on a custom 1957 Chevy Pick-Up Truck called 'Quicksilver'. Barrett-Jackson sold that truck in January 2016 at Scottsdale, AZ. Google 'Hot Rod Garage in Sand Springs OK' to see the quality of their work. The car isn't pictured on the web site but I have documentation to show car is from there. This rock-solid Oklahoma car received a body-on restoration (it was that clean) in 2009. That owner drove it for 3 years and about 15,000 miles before selling it to me in April 2012. I have had it in two Hot Rod Power Tours (2012 & 2013 ) where it performed flawlessly. I have driven this car about 14,000 miles total. Currently, the odometer reads 14,824 miles. It has rolled-over one time, or 'Exceeds Mechanical Limits' as The State of Michigan calls it. This car was a low-optioned car from the factory. It has standard stuff like Power Steering and Power Brakes, Tilt-Steering Wheel and Manual Windows. It has Vintage Air. This aftermarket air-conditioning works well. Everything on this car works without issues. It retains the original 425 Nailhead engine and Hydra-Matic Super Turbine 400 Transmission. The Nailhead is a unique engine. It was rated @ 365 HP with 465 lb.ft. of torque. The engine became known for the 465 lb. ft. torque rating instead of the cubic inches, making it the Torque Monster of it's day! It's called a nailhead because the heads are flat like a board (on the same plane as the ground, ie. not on an angle). The design gave this V8 engine a narrow block and made it a popular choice for hot rodders in the day.Doors: 2
