The Rolex Monterey Motorsports Reunion is the crown jewel of historic motorsport in America — held at WeatherTech Raceway Laguna Seca every August as part of Monterey Car Week. Unlike static concours events, the Reunion puts its cars on track: genuine race-winning Ferraris, Porsches, Jaguars, and Formula cars thunder around one of the world's most famous circuits, the legendary Corkscrew still demanding everything their drivers have. These are not trailer queens — they race.
The event draws hundreds of historically significant competition cars from private collections worldwide. Seeing a 1960s Ferrari GTO or a period-correct Can-Am McLaren running at speed through the Corkscrew is an experience that static shows simply cannot replicate.

Laguna Seca's famous Corkscrew — a blind, downhill, double-apex corner — is considered one of the most challenging and photographed sections of racetrack in the world. Historic cars negotiating it at speed is a sight unlike any other.
Ferrari is the most represented marque at the Reunion — the event draws more racing Ferraris in a single weekend than almost any other event on earth, from 1950s Testa Rossas to 1980s GTO Evolutiones.
The event is part of Monterey Car Week, which also includes Pebble Beach, the Quail, Concorso Italiano, and multiple major auctions — making the week the single greatest concentration of collector car events on the planet.
Many of the cars racing at Laguna Seca are insured for eight or even nine figures. The sight of a $50 million Ferrari racing wheel-to-wheel with other period cars is something that happens essentially nowhere else.
History
The Monterey Historics began in 1974 as a relatively informal gathering of historic racing cars at Laguna Seca — the brainchild of Steve Earle, who wanted to see important old racers competing rather than just sitting in museums. The event grew through the 1980s and 1990s, attracting increasingly significant machinery. Rolex joined as title sponsor in the 2000s, cementing the event's status as the premier historic racing event in North America. The Corkscrew has been the backdrop for some of the most dramatic moments in vintage racing history.
