1967 Chevrolet Camaro
Vehicle Details
Listing Description
1967 Chevy Camaro RS/SS. According to the trim tag, it was an original RS/SS with a 350 small block. It now has a 396 big block with scorpion rockers. The transmission is a Muncie 4 speed (out of a 68 Camaro I believe), which was professionally rebuilt with a new Hurst shifter in the past month. Also, the engine was tuned, oil gaskets replaced (including rear main seal), new 3.55 rear end (which suits this set up very well) with both yokes replaced. It has a 12-bolt posi rear end that came out of a 69 Z-28. I still have the 4.10 gear and carrier that was in it when I bought it and it will go with the car. The floorpans are in good shape with new under rear seat floorpans welded in and two coats of POR-15, Dynamat, and new carpet. I did not get around to doing the trunk or the doors, but the remaining Dynamat (several sheets) will go with the car. Disc front brakes. Edelbrock carb and intake. New oil pan, timing cover (aluminum), brake booster, valve covers, and lots of other little odds and ends. The Good : Beautiful car that cranks every time. Good power. Straight lines. Hideaway lights work. The Bad: The car is beautiful but has a few paint blemishes on the rear quarter panel, small cracks in the paint. The Weird: The back up lights are controlled with a switch. The passenger side door sticks out about a 1/4 inch (see pics).
