Description
This 1969 Chevelle SS represents a substantial mechanical investment with over 25k in new parts, most still boxed and unused. The foundation is solid: a 2-bolt main GM block bored 60-over paired with a rebuilt 468 turbo 400 transmission, new Flowmaster exhaust with stainless 50-series mufflers, ceramic Hooker headers, polished stainless fuel tank, and 4-core aluminum radiator. Fresh Torque Thrust D wheels and new stock gauges are included.
The interior rebuild is largely complete with new door panels, seat skins, dash pad, padded leather steering wheel, and dual speakers. The frame is excellent; the floor pans are solid. The project requires finishing touches: engine installation needs the oil pan swapped from marine spec, rear end reinstallation, heater core and AC condenser, headliner and carpet, seat foam, and minor patch panels on the rear quarter and above the trunk pan.
Not currently running but mechanically sound with quality parts staged and ready for assembly. A substantial head start for a serious restorer.

Chevrolet Chevelle SS Buyer's Guide
Mike Sullivan here. The Chevelle SS needs no introduction, but it does need honest context: this is one of the most desirable muscle cars in the market, which means it's also one of the most heavily cloned. Understanding what you're buying β and paying for β requires more homework on a Chevelle SS than on almost any other classic. Get it right, and you've got one of the great American performance machines. Get it wrong, and you've paid a premium for a base Malibu with SS emblems bolted on.
The SS package ran from 1964 through 1972 on the A-body Chevelle platform. Each year produced something meaningful, but the 1969β1972 era is where the market concentrates. The LS6 454 of 1970 is widely considered the most powerful muscle car engine ever offered in a factory car, and a correct, documented LS6 Chevelle is the holy grail for serious collectors.
