1965 Chevrolet Chevelle SS 396 5 Speed Clone. RARE POWER WINDOWS. This is a very nice 65 with a complete frame on restoration less than 10 years ago. It is a Very dependable driver and has been on 2 Power Tours over 3500 miles each round trip. Driven at least 5000 miles a year, and owned it 5 years. .Both complete quarters were replaced. The very minor other rust was cut out and replaced with metal. Then it was painted with DBU Sunrise Ralley red and lots of clear coat for a deep shine. Still looks today like it was just painted. All chrome, bumpers , grille etc were replaced with OEM or Repop. Interior is excellent. EVERYTHING was replaced or redone. Options, plus the complete SS package, include AC, VERY RARE factory power windows that work great, tilt wheel, Power Steering, front disc brakes, AM FM CD with remote and delete cover up plate, factory tach and gauges all work. Drive train consists of a .030 over 396, 402, Great sounding 554-574 Lunati cam shaft. Factory intake with a 1 year old 650 Holley, Late model heads so you do not need high priced gas. Trans is a Tremec 5 speed that we bought with the complete kit so it fits perfect in the factory console. 5th gear is over drive so the car cruises at 70 MPH at 1900 RPM. 13 + MPG. Engine has less than 6000 miles on it. 15 x 7 Cragars are 3 years old, as are the tires, and still look new. Exhaust consists of headers and 3' pipe all the way out the back with Flowmasters. Also has electric exhaust cut outs. Fuel tank and all fuel lines were replaced. Disc brakes were added to the front and every brake line and hose were replaced. Rear end is a 1966 12 bolt with an Eaton posi, 3:42 gears and Moser axles. Lower Metco Billet control arms, sway bar and adjustable upper control arms. It is dirty under neath but that is because it more than just week end car shows like some. Steering is thru a 72 Trans Am quick ratio power steering box. This car shows very well and has lots of trophies including Best Of Show.Doors: 2
