1949 MERCURY Pickup Yes! MERCURY made pickup trucks in Canada.......very few survived but this is one and it's been faithfully restored to its original condition and is exceptional in all respects. These were basically a Ford Pickup----only with some Mercury badging and certain details to set it apart. Body off Restoration for a superior result. You've seen him at Cars n Coffee in Nashville and you've probably asked if its for sale and----------UNTIL NOW---it never HAS been. The Owner always said, I'll never sell this truck until I'm ready. And at 84, he's ready! This is a Flathead V8 motor, 239 cubic inch, 110 HP, 180 ft. lbs of torque at 1850 RPM. 3 speed manual on the floor (not sure of gearing). Alberta, CA inspector indicates odometer mileage at 61k miles. Currently shows 62k miles (yes it works). Solid floors. Gorgeous bed. Owner tells stories of stopping for gas when 2 or 3 people stop in to ask if they can take photos etc. This is rare. Photos of restoration included.
