1950 Crosley Wagon, Two door station wagon four-cylinder 44 in.26.5 hp one barrel carburetor. Pointed-nose (bird - beak like), slab-sided two-door wagon designed by Industrialist Powel Crosley entry into the motor industry prior to WWII. He also created a 59-pound Navy engine during the war which provided him with a viable mass-market product. When the war ended Crosley started using the 26.5-hp, 44-cid COBRA (not Ford) copper brazed engine in passenger vehicles. The cars were very basic, beak-nosed, slab-sided two-door wagons in 1950. In 1949 Crosley restyled the model with a more modern nose in 1949 for the 1950 release. Super clean original Ocean foam green paint w/ real wood inlay on the rear quarter panels and in the back entry, on a very straight body which has excellent lines and gaps, a museum quality body (no pun intended see disclaimer below). The paint carries over into an immaculate large cargo area. Beautiful “Woody style” inlaid real wood in horizontal split rear hatch. Top flips up like a Bronco and tailgate folds down. Large, rounded edge rectangular window provides plenty of rear view. Rectangular aluminum framed/bezel gauge cluster. Large chrome heat vent. Leather bucket seats & Black leather door panels. Floor shifter. Eagle hood emblem. 3 finned horizontal white front grills, once again paint is in amazingly condition for a 80 + year old vehicle. 3 speed Synchronized mesh transmission. Black wall poly tires with dish hubcaps.** additional disclaimer - radiator, hose, thermostat and housing, front turn signal lamps, are missing.This vehicle is either classic, antique, exotic, super rare, or all of the above. It may not run or drive and may not have run or driven in numerous years.
