Under the hood is a 236CIDL head six cylinder that developed 112 pounds of horsepower. A three spoon transmission was standard on a base deluxe model while customs had a semi automatic transmission dubbed tiptoe hydraulic shift fluid drive. This DeSoto wagon has won the San Diego automotive museum directors choice award as well as the lawyers Concours de elegance award for wagons.
