1950 MG TD ROADSTER~~~ #TD2149~~~~~~ Original Engine with 42,500 miles\r\n\r\nOlder Restoration performed around 12 years ago\r\n\r\nAmerican servicemen discovered MG\'s while overseas and many brought MG TC\'s home with them. MG responded to this overseas demand in 1950 by making a more \"modern\" version of that car--the \"TD\"-- one which could be ordered with left-handed (American side) steering as opposed to the TC\'s only being offered with right-hand drive. The new TD was powered by a twin carburetor, 1250 cc, 4-cylinder engine coupled to a 4-speed manual transmission with a cruising range of upwards of 350 miles on one tank of petrol. With the windscreen folded down, the car has a decidedly classic racing pose and, with the windscreen raised and the top and side curtains in place, the car becomes an all-weather tourer. Our car is one of those TD\'s delivered new to America and owned by the same gentlemen for 67 years. It sports a British white exterior with red leather and black canvas top and side curtains. The car is one of those rare examples which actually drives exactly as these cars are supposed to and it is a real treat to be behind the wheel--with the windscreen up or folded down with that competition look. A gorgeous car in fabulous condition throughout.\r\n\r\nBeing the amazingly original car which it is, you will not find one this original and in this condition
