1951 Ford Coupe 'OLD SCHOOL' CHOPPED COUPE....a real survivor....a time capsule! Chopped 3 1/2', rounded hood corners, frenched lights, shaved doors / bumpers, molded '54 Buick grille, nosed / decked, full radiused / flared wheel wells, 1969 Galaxie SW all-coil frame swap, sitting on big'n'little Coker radials. (Picture with red bumper was taken at 1999 cruise in Ocean Park, WA) (Photo with blue Falcon was taken at 2019 Beaches cruise at PIR)(Other photos were taken at 2019 Portland Roadster Show) Ford 390 V8 - 4 BBL engine- auto trans - power steering , power brakes , 9 inch Ford rearend , vented disc brakes in front - drum brakes in back , dual siamesed flowmaster exhaust, tilt column --- speedometer, oil pressure, water temp, voltage gauges work (not gas gauge) ------ 26' cross-flow aluminum radiator, Spal high performance fan, shroud, battery in trunk , electric wipers. Extra parts: Restorable arm rests, door panels, chopped window moldings, new hood latch, new trunk latch, new door poppers, headliner bows, nice 1949 interior courtesy lights, metal bench seat-skirts, new DD u-joint, tilt column, and BelAir steering wheel,... I built it in 1978, drove it all over OR/WA for 10 years....sold it, then found it in 2018 and bought it back....it was unchanged!! Still has decent 30 year old flame paint job! Was in Kavalcade of Kustoms in the 2019 Portland Roadster Show, but it's no show car....it's a really good driver and gets lots of attention, but needs finishing. Interior is stock with nice bench seats, but no headliner or insulation. Doors have bear claw latches, but solenoids aren't dependable, nor electric windows. Hood uses rubber racing straps, heater/defroster not hooked up, no radio. (About 30 years ago all these things worked, and it had a finished interior...time, other owners, and neglect makes it 'unfinished' again.)
