1952 Ford Customline Tudor 239 cu in (3.9 L) V8 Three speed column shifted, with electric overdrive. Not a restoration, this car has been registered and in service since 1952. I purchased this in 2013 from the son of the original owner, who at the time had been using the car to commute 30 miles daily. He decided to sell it because he needed a truck for his new job. When I bought it, I replaced the radiator, motor mounts, belts, hoses, tires and regular maintenance items and kept on driving. Over the years I have converted it to 12 volts and replaced the entire wire harness and fuse box to modern standards, also front disc brakes with a dual reservoir master cylinder, and built a structure to hold the BMW front seats and shoulder harness seat belts. I shaved roof gutters, replaced rocker panels, floor panels, and some other rust repair. About 8 years ago it was painted to give the suede effect with a base coat/satin clear coat paint job. I lost my inside storage 3 years ago, and now there are some minor outer body rust bubbles, and some other parts are showing some minimal patina. Most all the glass has been replaced except for 2 pieces, and all the rubber seals have been replaced. The door cards and rear deck are in raw aluminum. They can be polished, blasted to dull, painted, or covered in cloth. The front springs (ordered to lower the car) and all the front suspension and steering have been rebuilt with less than a couple of thousand miles on it. The previous owner said that the engine had been overhauled, but I have no mileage or timeline on that. It starts right up, and runs great. I replaced the old carburetor with one from Vintage Speed and have only used REC90 fuel. The most recent things have been new carpet and new wheels and tires within the last 2 years, and I just put in a new battery. Since I have been stuck home since covid started, there are less than a few hundred miles on the tires. This is not a pristine show car.Body Style: CoupeDoors: 2Fuel Type: GasDrive Type: RWD
