The car was subsequently converted for rally use and is said to have participated in the 2007 Colorado Grand, 2008 California Mille, and 2009 Going to the Sun rallies prior to being acquired by the previous owner in 2016. The car is finished in red over a black interior and powered by a bored and stroked 3.4-liter inline-six mated to a ZF five-speed manual transmission. Additional equipment includes a Howe aluminum radiator, a Fuel Safe racing cell, an oil cooler, a Facet electric fuel pump, Koni front shocks, CNC front brake calipers, tri-bar headlamps, 16 wire wheels, a padded roll bar, and Simpson racing harnesses. The cabin has two low-back bucket seats that are trimmed in black vinyl and equipped with Simpson racing harnesses. A padded roll bar has been added, and a fire extinguisher is mounted on the rear deck.
