1955 Dodge Royal Lancer For Sale FMC is proud to offer this rarely seen mid-50s classic. At a time when the car industry was coming alive, the Dodge was right up front. 1955 was the first year of Virgel Exner's influence after joining Chrysler Dodge from Studebaker. His "Forward Look" design, also known as "the Hundred Million Dollar Look", offered new styling that had much to offer.... and so they did! This Dodge retains its original 270ci 175hp Red Ram engine & 3-speed automatic transmission. This Red Ram engine was based on the first generation HEMI V8. It has just under 84000 original miles miles. It runs perfectly, starts right up, drives straight, stops as it should and runs cool as a cucumber. It has its original 6-volt electrical system and the original generator has been upgraded to an alternator. It has dual exhaust that sound beautiful giving that low toned rumble. There are no fluid leaks of any kind. This Dodge was repainted in its original color of Cameo Red, nearly 20+ years ago. It is still in excellent condition today but not perfect. There are no ding, dents and certainly no rust. The outside chrome is showing signs of hazing and pitting but there are no dents or holes anywhere. The undercarriage is un-restored and incredibly clean with not a sign of rust. . In the interior, the white seating is new and very clean with no tares. All gauges and the speedometer work as they should. It was sold as a radio delete car. All windows roll smoothly and easily. All lights, wipers, horn and safety equipment work as they should. Front seat belts were added for additional safety. This 55 Dodge is an awful lot of car for the asking price. It is extremely clean and trouble free in every respect. Nothing is needed to make her go, stop or look great. Just get in & go! If you decide to take her to another level or upgrade a few things, your money would be well spent.
