The first year 1955 Thunderbird or commonly known as The T-Bird!! FMC is proud to offer this incredibly original 1st generation, 1st year Thunderbird. Not only is this one of the most iconic classic cars in history, it is offered here in one of the most iconic and most sought after colors ever made, Thunderbird Blue (Code T). The convertible vinyl top is White Cotan and the hardtop is body color. The interior is Turquoise & White. These are the factory original colors.One mans dream machine for more than 20 years, is looking for a new home due to his passing a short time ago. This beautiful garage kept T-Bird has a 8? bundle of manuals and receipts dating back to the beginning. It was purchased by the previous owner in 2002 who we believe was only the second and last owner. Receipts number in the thousands of dollars. Its obvious that everything done to the T-Bird had to be done with originality in mind and it had to be done right. Everything had to work as intended and everything did, and still does! Lights, power seats, AM tube radio etc... The engine runs perfectly. It starts immediately and drives straight and true. Idle is silent and steady as a rock. There is NO Vapor Lock here! Everything is in tip top condition including tires, brakes, dual exhaust built into the rear bumper as it should be, original carburetor was rebuilt, convertible top goes up and down easily. What a pleasure to drive. This car is reason why Ford labelled it "A Personal Luxury Car." The 292ci Y- block 190hp engine is the original as is the rare 3-speed manual transmission with overdrive. Other options included 4 way power seat, wide whitewall tires, hard & soft convertible tops, Magic Aire heater, rear fender skirts, Kelsey Hayes wire wheels, windshield washers, AM Tube Radio, exterior rear view mirror and back up lights. Chrome and trim are in excellent condition and are all original. Paint shines beautifully but does have some checking on and around the hood which are nearly invisible unless your looking. There is Zero rust on the all original body and undercarriage. This is a beautiful car which now needs a new home with a buyer who can really appreciate the history and originality of such a true classic. We recently acquired this T-Bird. Once we give it a good cleaning and detail, we will add a full set of new photos.
