1958 FORD THUNDERBIRD The second generation Ford Thunderbird was produced by Ford for the 1958 to 1960 model years as a successor to the popular 1955-1957 two-seater. In response to Ford-conducted surveys two major changes were made to attract potential buyers: two rear seats were added and the level of luxury and features of a full-sized car were incorporated into a mid-size platform. Mechanical all original 1958 Ford Thunderbird First year of new design. The car has original 37,000 miles. Original 352 V8 4bl 300hp engine with automatic transmission. The car is optioned with power Stirring and power brakes. Recent work includes tune up, new battery, fluids, new Cooker white wall tires. The car was owned by an older man and has been well maintained and cared for. Receipts, original manuals, books and paperwork are going back to the nineties. Comes with spare tire and jack. Car runs, drives, shifts and stops great. Exterior The exterior looks great for being original. Some fading of mostly original paint. There is one small hole in drivers floor about the size of a quarter. Other than that the undercarriage, frame, floors are all solid. All glass is nice except for the passenger window is cracked see picture. The chrome is grate driver quality. Interior The interior is still all original and in great shape.
