1959 triumph TR3 with a hot cam TR4A engine and Triumph 250 Seats.Turn key car. with 6000 miles on the rebuild This car was stolen from a Cincinnati Paul McCartney Concert in the 1970's and damaged in the rear left fender. This was the second Triumph stolen that night as the police had chased him in a Spitfire as well. They caught the bad guy... but his taste had improved through the evening I might say! Owner was disgusted and parked it and it sat till 2010ish. When I obtained it, it still had the hotwire wiring... Cool huh! The car has new outer frame metal, floorpan metal and sills. The car has been completely gone through with all new brake lines and parts. Front brakes have been upgraded to Toyota truck brakes for Badazz stopping power. This is a standard bolt on conversion so easypeazy. Transmission is a standard 4 speed that shifts great. Engine camshaft was upgraded to a Katsner D mild street cam last century so you can blow those Sunbeam's off the road, the added bondo just settles the car.. . It has new headgasket, rings, bearings, and racing rear oil seal. Seatbelts have been added so you can autocross it! Alternator is a reliable GM unit, Lucas alternator/regulator still available, But why? Tires are Coker tires, wire wheels are later TR4 if I remember correctly, All seals on the rear axle were changed when taken apart as well as front suspension rebuilt as well. This car is tuned for 7000 ft but drives excellent from 10,000 ft down to 4000ft. Fun driving windy road mountain car but does fine in stop and go city traffic. If you like 'stop,go,stop,go traffic', straight roads, masks and roachcoaches, Buddy.... do I know a club for you! One issue Fuel gauge has not been repaired for decades and was sent to England, and has not returned yet, float in trunk needs replacement too. One gallon fuel container NOT included, you can look in the fuel tank to see where the level is anyways as I have done for a decade.
