1961 International scout 80. all original, 4x4, daily driver. This is an extremely rare, and very cool truck. It's a completely original 1961 international scout. The motor is still the original 152 slant 4 cylinder, the transmission is the original 3 speed trans, it still has the original twin stick transfer case. The only part of the driveline not original is the rear end, which I took out of a 68 scout 800. I have the matching front end as well, but I haven't installed it yet. Currently the front and rear are different gear ratios, so you can't engage the 4x4. But everything works properly when the ratio is correct. I drove it home with the front end when the rear end blew out 9 months ago. The 68 Scout rear end is heavier constructed, and has a better gear ratio for freeway driving. I drive this truck all the time. I drive it around town, and on the freeway. I regularly use it to commute, and it is extremely fun to drive. I get more looks in this little truck than I have in any of my other classic cars and trucks, and everybody wants to know what it is! This is the first year of the Scout, and the Scout was the first short wheelbase competition for the Jeep. The Scout is what the Bronco is based on. Because this is the first year, it still has the original fold down windshield, sliding side windows, and half cab removable top. This is not a show truck! it's a driver. It has some dents and dings, it has rust in the rocker panels, there's a small crack in the windshield (it's flat glass), and there are some other small issues as well. The outside door handles don't work (the inside ones work fine) and The chains are missing from the tailgate. The truck comes with chrome rims and high tread, nearly new, all terrain tires. This truck is very rare, and very cool, I don't need to sell it, and I'm not in a hurry. The truck is running great, driving great, and currently registered in my name. pink slip in hand.Doors: 2
